It's still fall around here. I couldn't be any happier! How 15-20 degrees can make a difference in my attitude is beyond me. But I tell ya, the fresh air coming thru our open windows compared to the forced air that comes out of our air conditioning vents is HUGE in my book. Fresh is SO much nicer :-))

I did something fun today. I volunteered in my Bella's class this morning to come and clean out a pumpkin and then bake the seeds for the kids to try. I had no idea what I was in for. I wasn't really given very specific directions on what was supposed to happen, so I just went with it. One thing that is very unique about Bella's class is that there are no boys! HA! I find that interesting. They were all so sweet. This one little girl introduced herself (and the 3 others sitting next to her). When I said it was nice to meet her, she said it right back to me and shook my hand. We've been working on that with the girls for a while now and they still don't do it on their own! She must have been a little bit older than Bella, cause she was the one doing most of the talking. I got to cut the hole in the top and then had all of the girls take turns scooping the guts out. Three of the 12 girls stuck with me the whole time and even used their hands to get every last seed out. I was impressed.

I then went to the kitchen and cleaned the seeds up, salted them and stuck em in the oven. 15 minutes later they were ready. I was shocked that 70% of the girls tried them (my Bella was one that refused). They all thought they tasted like popcorn!! I was really happy to see that one little girl (also one of the 3 that helped me till the very end) had 5 servings of the pumpkin seeds. Made me feel so good!

And after my good deed for the day...I got to come home and scrapbook!! The hubby was going to give me the afternoon off!! Whoo Hoo! I was really feeling scrappy, but I forced myself to do it and take advantage of my free time. This is what I could come up with...
